Our Natural Taonga

This week in the Mighty Minions we were trying to discover natural treasure.

We decided that natural treasure was:

  • islands
  • matariki
  • beach
  • shells
  • pinecones
  • rocks
  • grass
  • earth

To help us with our learning we created a play about our best natural treasure the earth.

We hope you enjoy our short play =)

Reading with the Mighty Minions

This week the Mighty Minions were reading Alligator Alley.
We really enjoyed discovery time where we were doing different activities about the book.

The class really enjoyed learning about alliteration and using adjectives.

Miss Longstaff is really impressed with what you have learned this week Minions =)

Junior and Sio sequencing our shared book for the week. Working together to put it in the correct order.

Listening with Understanding and Empathy

This week the Mighty Minions were learning about the Habit of Mind: Listening with understanding and empathy.

We learnt so much about what Superstar listeners do.

Check out the story we created about listening, it is now in our class library.

Lemmy and Cassius share our story with you.

check out what listening looks like and sounds like to us:
